Google – Motorola Working On ‘X Phone’ And ‘X Tablet’

Yes, you read it right, Google and Motorola are in works to develop X Phone and X Tablet. According to Wall Street Journal next year these devices will be launched these devices. This is the first project of both companies after Google’s $12.5 Billion Motorola acquisition.

Further the report notes, “Engineers at Motorola are hard at work on a sophisticated handset—known internally as the “X phone”—but the Google Inc. unit is running into some obstacles in its effort to provide more potent competition for Apple Inc., said people familiar with the matter.”

WSJ elaborates by quoting that X Phone will be pure Android based phone and will focus on a high quality camera and a robust photo editing program. This new X Phone might be bendable display phones or flexible phone. Samsung is also rumoring to bring Galaxy S IV with flexible display and even they are bringing one flexible display device at CES 2013. It will also consist high quality speakers and high durable ceramic materials will be used to built it.

Now coming onto X Tablet after the phone. Google Chief Executive Larry Page is said to have promised a significant marketing budget for the unit, the newspaper said quoting the persons. More details about X Tablet will surface all the X Phone details are finalized.

HTC Sense History

It was announced on June 24, 2009 and HTC Hero was first Android phone to run HTC Sense, While HTC HD2 was first Windows phone.

Until 2010, HTC Sense was not that famous as it is now. But what happened in 2010 which made Sense popular? So that thing was new User Interface, addition of new widgets like Friend Stream widget and access to all home screens at once.

Later, HTC outs two more new versions with new features and enhancements. Currently HTC Sense 4+ is latest version running on various devices like HTC One X, HTC One X+ and One S.

HTC Sense Versions

HTC Sense is constantly evolving in order to keep up with the technological advances that are always being made. As discussed above HTC Sense have various versions according to new features and advancements. HTC developed every version with some new ideas. HTC Sense 4.0

HTC Sense 4.0 was built atop Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich and this version of Sense was first introduced on HTC One X, HTC One S, HTC Evo 4G LTE, and HTC One V. Except new features it also includes performance tweaks and bug fixes which helped Sense 4.0 to make it lighter and safer. HTC also threw in its own imaging technology, dubbed ImageSense, to offer some cool new enhancements to the camera. Along with all above there was new Homescreen, vast personalization options, better lockscreen integration and much more.

HTC Sense 4.1

It was announced on August 18, 2012 for HTC One X, HTC One S, and HTC Evo 4G LTE got Android 4.0.4 and HTC Sense 4.1. Various new things were introduced with better battery life and faster User Interface.

HTC Sense 4+

This version comes preloaded with HTC One X+ and it has refined all features and functions which were introduced in HTC Sense 4.1. There is refinement in every edge of Sense 4+ if we compare it with Sense 4.1. It makes everything look fresher and brighter. Currently Droid DNA and HTC One X+ is running HTC Sense 4+.

Mini Player

Mini player is the feature of the Apple iTunes 11 is available in earlier versions also but this feature that often went unused simply because it didn’t have much functionality before. Mini Player allowed users to minimized their iTunes window into small tray in which the controls like play, pause and forward/backward between songs are provided by apple in this versions. MiniPlayer has not only increased its functionality of iTunes but it also updated its look.

Up Next

Up next is new feature added to the iTunes 11 in which the list of music tracks are shown whitout making any type of playlist which will be played after the current music track. It looks great.

New Interface

Apple gives the all new look and interface to the itunes in in itunes 11. The new options to view music by Genres or by Artists display sidebars showing icons for genres or for artists, with icons from your album art. In Album view the new default view of itunes now displays every thing in album whether their is a single track or a full album everything is displayed in the albums. You can click a graphic to see what’s behind it. The expanded view shows the tracks in several columns, with the album artwork to the right. The background and text take on colors from the album art.

iCloud Integration

iTunes 11 is containing most important feature of icloud integration. through which users are now able to browse and stream their content much more easily than before. iCloud integration built-in is a much needed improvement for video content as well, as you don’t want to keep gigabytes of HD movies and TV shows on a small SSD.

Android, open source platform is gaining more market share w.r.t iPhone but why? There are many fan boys of iPhone and Apple around here so its not easy to know actually why Android is gaining ground over iPhone. There are many reasons why people prefer Android over iPhone.

Modem is a device that modulates an analog signal to encode into the digital signals and also demodulates it to transmit the information. Modems can be used over any means of transmitting analog signals, from light emitting diodes to radio. The most familiar example is a voice band modem that turns the digital data of a personal computer into modulated electrical signals in the voice frequency range of a telephone channel. These signals can be transmitted over telephone lines and demodulated by another modem at the receiver side to recover the digital data. The modems are of various types.

Internal Modem:
Internal Modem is the device installed in the desktop or laptop computer to communicate over a network with other connected computers. These are cheaper than external modems as they do not requirea power supply or a chassis. There are two types of internal modems: dial-up and WiFi® (wireless). Dial up works on the telephone cables and requires a network access phone number and log on credentials to make a connection and WiFi modem comments to the network without filling these credentials
External Modem:

External modems are the simplest type of the modem to install this kind of modem you didn’t open the computer. The telephone line plugs into a socket on the rear panel of the modem. As external modems have their own power supply you can turn off the modem quickly to break the connection. The examples of these modems are the DSL modems which are used in the broadband connections.
PC Card Modem:

These modems, designed for portable computers, are the size of a credit card and fit into the PC Card slot on notebook and handheld computers. These modems are removed when the modem is not needed. Except for their size, PC Card modems are like a combination of external and internal modems. These devices are plugged directly into an external slot in the portable computer. So no cable is required other than the telephone line connection. The cards are powered by the computer, which is fine unless the computer is battery-operated. Running a PC Card modem while the portable computer is operating on battery power drastically decreases the life of your batteries.

Today we have Google’s new Nexus and better known as Nexus 4. Google Nexus 4 is developed by LG, its first time that Google and LG has paired up to bring Nexus time. Google announced this device along with Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 16 GB and 32 GB variants on the day when Sandy Storm Struck US’s eastern Coast.

This new range of Nexus devices are powered with Excellent hardware and Android 4.2 which have several new luxuries than Android 4.1. So now let’s get ahead on Google Nexus 4 Review:

Design And Build

Google Nexus 4 weighs 139 g and is 0.36 inches thin, it’s slightly lighter and thicker than the Optimus G which stands at 147 gm and 0.33 inches, respectively. Its also heavier than iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. Actually its classy looking phone with black slab of glass on the front and a glass panel protecting a dark shimmering dot matrix on the back.

Nexus 4 doesn’t have Capacitive buttons below the screen but there’s LED notification light is positioned. You also not need to worry about scratches as its covered with the glass on the back.

Its dimensions are measured as 68.7 mm wide by 133.9 mm deep by 9.1 mm thick.

All over small change in weight and size does’t effect its sales a lot but there are some people who takes these measures in mind while buying a device.

Now only thing i didn’t liked about Nexus devices are its lack of Storage capacity due to no expansion facility. Google Nexus 4 have 16 GB of internal, non-expandable, storage.

Camera

It have both rear and front cameras standing 8.0 MP and 1.3 MP HD front respectively. If we compare Google Nexus 4 camera with iPhone 5 or Nokia Lumia 920 than its camera nothing. Nokia Pureview 920 is even a step ahead of iPhone 5.

With Android 4.2 there’s pretty useful option or tool of PhotoSphere has been included which can take the 360-degree image view by it.

Battery

Powerhouse of all phones without which phone is nothing. Google Nexus 4 is powered by non removable 2020 mAh battery which is only 80 mAh less than HTC Droid DNA. Nexus 4 is able to manage a day usage without too much hassle. But if you keep your display on more than normal time than you might struck with power shortage (low battery) as its display is 320 ppi pixel density.

Verdict

Google Nexus 4 is an awesome phone if we compare it with price. It have powerful hardware to accelerate all kind of tasks at great speed. Its design is also new with new Android 4.2 on board. Nexus 4’s camera is also good but not like iPhone 5 or Lumia 920. Things we don’t like about this phone is non removable battery and lack of internal storage.

Overall its excellent deal in the end.
