Nougat rollouts are picking up the pace, smartphone makers are keen to provide update to its eligible phones. HTC 10 is the latest to be blessed with the Nougat OTA update in the lineup.
Australian Carrier “Telstra” has started rolling out the update gradually and will soon release to other regions. The OTA seems to weigh over 1.5GB, packed with all the features of basic Nougat which Includes:
- More pleasant and delightful materialistic UI.
- Advanced Doze Mode on the go…!!
- Fast and frequent system updates…etc.
HTC has rolled out Android 7.0 to its unlocked variant nearly 5 months ago,. Now, certain carriers started testing the update and some are officially releasing it in the first half of July this month.
Much to the fact, the Nougat version is 7.0 which is a little bit outdated compared to the latest 7.1.2 seen in Flagship Google Pixel phones. The owners of flagship devices such as HTC 10 will surely have a lust for getting latest and up to dated version of Android, but seems the manufacturers are not interested.
For the HTC 10 Telstra users, head onto the Settings>About Device and tap the Software update tab to upgrade the device to Nougat OS. Don’t forget to have atleast 50% of charge and important files are backed up, to restore in case any error occurs while updating.
