  • Use Passwords: You should use passwords for the smartphone. it protects your data from the unknown persons who can access this if the password is not applied. Don’t share passwords with anyone else even if you make an exception for someone you trust deeply to help you out in a fix that person can also do damage your information and miss use your confidential information.
    While creating the password select some thing which is hard to guess. Avoid using the birthday dates, anniversaries dates, etc as a password. To avoid some hacked into your account keep on changing your password time to time and Don’t use the same password for all of your accounts.
  • Beware of unknown apps and links: Do not download apps or click on links in emails or social media pages without first researching the source. These apps and links could contain viruses, malware or spyware that can compromise your personal data.
  • Turn off Wi-Fi hotspots: If your smartphone has the option of WiFi hotspot than it should be secured with a password so that unknown user cannot use your network. Unknown people who are using the network without any identity may do something wrong under your identity.
  • Install mobile security software: Install a good security software  to protect your phone from viruses, malwares that try to steal information off of your phone. Use downloads only from a reputable seller or site and take special care of pop-ups don’t download apps from the unknown source.
