Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade offer for $15 will end by 31st January

Microsoft windows 8 will be more costlier after 31st January. As Microsoft at the launch of windows 8 operating system announced that the update to windows 8 Pro will available for $15 for Windows 7 PC users for promotion of their product. Microsoft also gives the time period for this offer between 2 June 2012 and 31 January 2013.  Additionally,  Microsoft claims that 60 million licenses of Windows 8 have been sold to date.

Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade offer is applicable for any Windows 7 PC that has been bought before or after the above mentioned date. It is applicable for those who purchase a new Windows 7 PC that comes pre installed with original versions of Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate, and that includes a matching and valid OEM certificate of Certificate of Authenticity (COA). But after 31st January the price for windows 8 pro will increase and  will be around $120. which is quite a big amount.

Windows 8 upgrade editions will be priced as follows starting in February:

  • The Windows 8 Pro upgrade edition will be available online and at retail for $199.99 MSRP (U.S.).
  • The Windows 8 upgrade edition will be available online and at retail for $119.99 MSRP (U.S.).
  • The Windows 8 Pro Pack will cost $99.99 MSRP (U.S.).
  • The Windows 8 Media Center Pack will cost $9.99 MSRP (U.S.).
